Introduction
Robin Klein is a poet who takes in his pen the everyday and universal happenings of life. activities pertaining to small children are very e dear to him as they represent innocence love smartness and their nature. in this small poem, Amanda is a small girl who is being advised by the poet time and again to avoid certain unwanted activities but she seems to live in her one word as she is Moody.
Summary
Advice by the speaker:-- The speaker advises Amanda neither to bite her nails nor to bend her Shoulders. he advises her to sit straight.
Reply by Amanda:-- On hearing him, Amanda replies that there is a very decent green sea. dwelling place. she feels rest and relaxes in it. she is a mermaid who enjoys her life with the highest happiness.
Interrogation with Amanda:-- The poet interrogates Amanda if she had finished her home task and cleaned her room.he had already asked her to clean her shoes. he advises her not to eat chocolate. she must remember her acne, he asks her if she will look at him on speaking.
Amanda view:-- Amanda replies that she is an orphan who roams in the street and makes a pattern with dust from her feet. she believes that the silence is Golden and the freedom is sweet. she calls herself Rapunzel who lives in a tower where life is very much peaceful. she will never let down her golden hair.
Final words of the speaker:-- In the end, the poet advises her to stop sulking as she is always very moody. people may think that he is finding fault in the girl but he is rather advising her.

वक्ताद्वारा अमेंडा को उपदेश:--अमेंडा को वक्ता उपदेश देता है कि वह अपने दांतो से नाखून ना काटे और नहीं अपने कंधों को मोड़े। वह उसे सीधे बैठने की सलाह देता है
अमेंडा द्वारा उत्तर:-- वक्ता द्वारा भाषण सुनकर अमेंडा उत्तर देती है कि वहां पर एक बहुत सुंदर हरा सागर है वही उसके रहने का स्थान है वह इसके अंदर आराम और शांति का अनुभव करती है। वह एक मत्स्यांगना है जो अपने जीवन का परम आनंद से लुक तो उठाती है।
अमेंडा के साथ प्रश्न:-- अमेंडा से कवि पूछता है कि क्या उसने अपना ग्रह कार्य समाप्त कर लिया है और अपने कमरे को व्यवस्थित कर लिया है वह उसे पहले ही अपने जूते साफ करने के लिए कह चुका है वह उसे चॉकलेट खाने को कहता है उसे अपने कील मुहांसों का ध्यान होना चाहिए। कभी उससे पूछता है कि क्या वह उसे देखेगी जब वह उससे बोलेगा।
अमेंडा के विचार:-- अमेंडा कहती है कि वह एक अनाथ है जो गली में घूमती है और अपने पैरों के धूल से नमूने बनाती है। उसका विश्वास है कि खामोशी सोना है और स्वतंत्रता में मिठास है। वह अपने आप को रुपान्जल कहती है। जो एक टावर में रहती है जहां पर जीवन अत्यंत ही शांत है। वह अपने सुनहरे बालों को कभी नहीं गिरने देगी अर्थात कभी अपने आप को नीचा नहीं दिखाएगी।
वक्ता के अंतिम शब्द:-- अंत में रवि उसे उदासीन न रहने को कहता है क्योंकि वह तो सदैव उदासीन ही रहती है। लोग सोच सकते हैं कि कवि उसमें कसूर ढूंढ रहा है परंतु वह तो उसे सलाह ही दे रहा है।

Ans. Amanda yearns for complete freedom. she does not want to be interrogated, instructed, and controlled by anyone. she wants to lead her life the way she likes. the poem tells that Amanda is lost in her own world of thoughts.
