, quick, quick ,said mistress chatter box”का लिख दे डाला।

Oral comprehension check
Q1. Why was Mr. Keesing annoyed with Anne? What did he ask her to do?
Ans. Mr. Keesing was annoyed with
Anne because she used to talk a lot in his class even in his presence. He asks
her to write essays as extra homework. The essays were” a Chatterbox.” “encroached
Chatterbox” And,” Quack Quack quick said mistress Chatterbox.”
Q2. How did Anne justify her being a
Chatterbox in her essay?
Ans. Anne justified her being
Chatterbox in her essay by arguing that talking is a student's trait. she said
that she would do her best to keep her chatting under control. She also
mentioned that in spite of her efforts, she would never be able to cure
herself of the Habit since she was as talkative as her mother. She wrote that
talkativeness was her inherited trait and it could not be cured. she
presented her being a Chatterbox in a very natural way. Her arguments are
true as well as clever.
Q3. Do you think that Mr. Keesing was a
strict teacher?
Ans. Yes, I think that Mr kissing was a
strict teacher. He was an old fashioned gentleman. He taught maths. He didn't
like anybody talking unnecessarily in class. He tried hard to improve the
student.
Q4. What made Mr. Keesing allow Anne to
talk in class?
Ans. On being irritated at Anne's habit
of talking too much in class, Mr. Kessing asked her to write an essay on’
Chatterbox’. she wrote the essay with very convincing arguments. Mr. Keesing
asked her to write another essay on ‘an incorrigible Chatterbox’. Again wrote
the essay convincingly. The next day, she was again asked to write an essay on’
Quack Quack Quack said mistress Chatterbox’. This time she wrote the story of
father's Van who bit his children to death because they quacked too
much. Mr. Keesing was touched and allowed Anne to talk in the class.
Thinking about the text
Q1. Was Anne right when she said that the world would not be interested in the musings of a 13-year-old girl?
Ans. Anne said so because the word is generally interested
in reading great men. They may be politicians, great thinkers, statesmen, etc.
People don't bother to know the thoughts of the teenager and that too, a
commoner. but this turned out different in her case. Her diary, an account of
Nazi at recites became one of the world's most widely read books. it was
translated into many languages. The book mentions several films, television, and
theatrical productions, and even an Opera based on the diary.
Q2. There are some examples of a diary or
general entries in the’ before you read the section’. compare these with what
rights in her diary. What language was the diary originally written in? In
what way is a nice diary different?
Ans. Anne’s diary is considered
both a diary and a journal. it is a diary when she describes the day the result
is being awaited. Then it is a journal when she describes the episode related
to her maths teacher. it is originally written in Dutch. it's
different as it is written as a letter addressed to Kitty, as her diary is
named. it is also different in the sense that it presents historical facts
during the Second World War. It is its account of Nazi atrocities of Jews and
presents an insight into history.
Q3. Why does Anne need to give a brief
sketch about her family? Does she treat it as an insider or outsider?
Ans. Anne needs to give a brief
sketch about her family otherwise no one would understand a word of her stories
to Kitty. She treats kitty as an Insider. She can share their secrets with
kitty. In spite of having many friends, she is not confined in any of them
to tell her secrets. She needs someone who may listen to her secrets patiently,
and keep them too. Kitty, her diary has all these qualities. so she treats
Kitty as her bosom friend.
Q4. What does Anne feel about her
father, grandmother, and Mrs. Kuprous and Mr. Keesing? What do these tell you
about her?
Ans. Anne considers her father the
most adorable father. She loves her grandmother. She misses her a lot after her
death. Mrs. Kuprous was her class teacher and headmistress in 6th grade. They
had a heartbreaking farewell. Both of them wept. She considers her math
teacher, Mr. Keesing was then old foray. he was annoyed with her because she
talked so much in his class. He used to give her extra homework as a
punishment.
All these tell us that she was a very loving, affectionate, creative, and intelligent girl.
Q5. What a brief sketch about Anne's
life?
Ans. Anne's full name was
Anneliese Mary. She was born on June 12, 1929. She was a German Bond Jewish
girl. She wrote her diary while she was hiding in Amsterdam during the Second
World War. She was an intelligent girl during her schooling. she showed a good
sense of humor when Mr. Keesing was annoyed with her. Anne was also skilled in
writing. Unfortunately, Anne died of typhus in 1945. But her father found her
diary and got it published. we are able to know about any thoughts from her
diary. It is described as the work of a mature and insightful mind.
Q6. Anne says Teachers are unpredictable.
Is Mr. Keesing unpredictable? How?
Ans. Yes, Mr. Keesing is unpredictable.
He was annoyed with Anne because she was very talkative. He gave her extra
homework as a punishment. She had to write an essay on’ a Chatterbox’. she
wrote the essay and thought that he would be satisfied but her prediction
proved baseless. He gave her more essays to write. She, at last, composed a poem instead
of an essay. The poem was a joke on Mr. Keesing. instead of being angry, he read
it with his own comments. since then he allowed her to talk in class. this was
unexpected.
