Introduction

The narrator of this story is a thief. he is very clever at stealing things. but he is illiterate. he tries to rob a person named Anil by being his servant. Anil teaches him to write and read. The thief robs him. he steals his money but puts it back and wishes to lead and educated Gentleman's life. Anil knows everything. but he doesn't show that he knows about his theft and thus he helps the thief in becoming a good person.

Ans. I feel that Anil is a large-hearted person. hi reviews the whole situation with an open mind. you think that if he has over the chief to the police, he may become a hardened criminal. He decides to Reform The Thief in a different way. Most people would do not like anil. They would have handed over such a person to the police after beating him. Anil is quite different from other employers. Unlike other employers, anil is very kind. So he decides to reform the thief through kindness and sympathy. As he gives a fifty rupee note to the boy who theft his money, the boy feels a transformation in himself. thus, Anil transformer a Thief into a good boy willing again education.
