dear sir,

I am a resident of Powai. I need a driving licence because shortly i will be travelling to my workplace. The registration number of my car is UKZ 8888. I would be grateful if you could kindly grant me a driving licence. I’m always available at the address mentioned above. I would appreciate an early reply so that I can take a day off for my driving test.

Yours faithfully,

Letter to a newspaper about a damaged road causing high risk

To
The editor
The Hindu

Sir,

Our municipality wants walking up; and, as a private appeal to their office has had no effort, perhaps A Little Public City will do no harm. For the last month, City Road has been almost impassable. The road surface is badly damaged by the heavy rainfall. it is highly dangerous for motor vehicles and carriages to pass that way. Moreover, there are heaps of road metal scattered on both sides of the road, which leave very little room in the middle for vehicles. It is unseemly that we should be inconvenienced in this way for weeks, and I hope the public will bring pressure to bear on those responsible so that the road may be put in the thorough repair without further delay.

Yours faithfully
Anirudh Kumar
